British FTSE 100 rises 0.47 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.47 percent, or 33.10 points, to 7,140.75 points.

Share price of Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 4.82 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Reckitt Benckiser Group, Smurfit Kappa Group, Paddy Power Betfair and Standard Chartered increased by 4.48 percent, 3.89 percent, 2.28 percent and 2.22 percent respectively.

Capita led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.72 percent, following by Worldpay Group (2.03 percent), 3i Group (1.07 percent), Legal & General Group (0.89 percent) and British Land (0.43 percent). Endit
