British FTSE 100 rose 0.12 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.12 percent, or 8.50 points, to 7,107.65 points.

Share price of Pearson increased by 3.66 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Barratt Developments, Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Micro Focus International and Shire increased by 3.62 percent, 3.58 percent, 3.39 percent and 2.36 percent respectively.

Mediclinic International led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.36 percent, following by Associated British Foods (2.88 percent), Provident Financial (1.71 percent), National Grid (1.51 percent) and Dixons Carphone (1.11 percent). Endit
