Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen range in early deals in Tokyo

The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday morning, principally inline with levels seen overnight in New York, after regaining ground following U.S. President Donald Trump's accusations of Tokyo's currency manipulation.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.78-82 yen compared with 112.74-84 yen in New York and 113.52-53 yen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.0800-0800 dollars and 121.79-80 yen against 1.0794-0804 dollars and 121.81-91 yen in New York and 1.0699-0700 dollars and 121.46-50 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo. Endit
