Spanish stock market rises 1.73 pct

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 rose 1.73 percent on Wednesday to close at 9,549.30 points, up from the 9,387.20 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, Caixabank shares led rises climbing 6.43 percent, followed by Banco Santander, Banco Sabadell, Mapfre, Melia Hotels and Banco Popular that rose 4.03 percent, 3.99 percent, 3.72 percent, 3.69 percent and 3.28 percent respectively.

On the other hand, ArcelorMittal shares led falls losing 2.18 percent, followed by Endesa, Enagas, Abertis A, Indra A and AENA that lost 0.98 percent, 0.85 percent, 0.30 percent, 0.29 percent and 0.26 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 109 points and Spain's ten-year bond interest rate closed at 1.51 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday closing time. Endit
