UAE's Emirates Airline to launch new route to U.S.

Xinhua, January 23, 2017 Adjust font size:

UAE's Emirates Airline said here on Monday in an e-mailed statement it will launch a new daily service from Dubai to Newark Liberty International Airport of the United States, via the Greek capital city of Athens, from March 12.

The new route complements Emirates' existing four daily flights between Dubai and New York's John F. Kennedy airport, by offering passengers with another access to the New York Metropolitan area.

The airline will operate a wide-body Boeing 777-300ER on the route.

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, said "after careful review, Emirates concluded that extending one of our Dubai-Athens flights to Newark would be commercially and operationally feasible." Endit
