Marco Fu reaches Masters semifinals

Marco Fu stormed into the semifinals of the Masters snooker tournament after crushing Mark Allen 6-2 at the Alexandra Palace here on Thursday.

Fu, who entered the last four in 2008 and 2011, will fight for the final berth against six-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan, who defeated Neil Robertson of Australia 6-3 in the day's other match.

The newly crowned Scottish Open champion also made a 140 break in the seventh frame, which could earn him 10,000 pounds of high break prize if no one else overtakes the score.

O'Sullivan is seeking his first silverware of the 2016/17 season, having been runner-up at the European Masters, Champion of Champions and UK Championship. Endit
