Urgent: Drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzman extradited to U.S., says Mexico

The Mexican government announced Thursday that drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzman was being extradited to the U.S.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the extradition was going ahead after a penal court in Mexico City struck down a stay granted to Guzman in May 2016. Enditem
