British FTSE 100 drops 0.54 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday dropped by 0.54 percent, or 39.17 points, to 7,208.44 points.

Share price of Burberry Group increased by 4.52 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips.

British American Tobacco, London Stock Exchange Group, Smurfit Kappa Group and Worldpay Group increased by 3.36 percent, 2.17 percent, 1.41 percent and 1.27 percent respectively.

Royal Mail led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.48 percent, following by British Land Co (3.64 percent), Land Securities Group (3.14 percent), Hammerson (2.76 percent) and Intu Properties (2.55 percent). Endit
