Slow-speed green train runs through poverty areas of Daliang Mountains in SW China

Passengers wait for boarding the 5633 green train running on the Sichuan part of southwest China's Chengdu-Kunming Railway at Shamalada Station, Jan. 16, 2017. As modern high-speed trains shot past new stations throughout China, a slow-speed green train still runs through some poverty areas of Daliang Mountains where people of Yi ethnic group mainly live. The old-fashioned train started operating in 1970, with no air conditioning and restaurant car. Now, it's still a cheap and convinient way for local people to travel. (Xinhua/Jiang Hongjing)
