Singapore stocks close flat

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.35 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 3,012.77.

A total of 1.93 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 772.7 million Singapore dollars (544.75 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 215 to 212, while 669 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 11.95 points, or 0.4 percent, to close at 3,013.12 on Monday. Enditem
