Singapore stocks close 0.4 percent lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 11.95 points, or 0.4 percent, to close at 3,013.12.

A total of 2.79 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 817.4 million Singapore dollars (571.41 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 277 to 162, while 651 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 32.07 points, or 1.07 percent, to close at 3,025.07 on Friday. Endit
