-- The Ethiopian Peoples' Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) said it was ready to debate and negotiate with locally recognized competing political parties.

-- The Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi International Stadium constructed by the Ethiopian-born Saudi business tycoon in Woldiya town at a cost of 567 million Birr was officially inaugurated on Saturday.

-- Natural resource conservation works have been started in five regional states of Ethiopia.
