21 Afghan militants killed in 24 hours

A total of 21 Taliban militants including a group commander have been killed across the conflict-hit country during series of operations over the past 24 hours, said a statement of Interior Ministry released here on Sunday.

The operations, according to the statement, have covered parts of Kapisa, Parwan, Oruzgan and Khost provinces, during which huge number of arms and ammunitions including explosive materials have been discovered and destroyed.

However, the statement didn't say if there were casualties on security personnel.

Anti-government groups including the Taliban and he Islamic State haven't commented on the report. Enditem
