Singapore stocks close 1.07 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 32.07 points, or 1.07 percent, to close at 3,025.07.

A total of 1.70 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.11 billion Singapore dollars (775.8 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 239 to 198, while 654 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 7.94 points, or 0.26 percent, to close at 2,993.00 on Thursday. Enditem
