Estonia eyes closer bilateral relations with Britain: legislator

It is very important for Estonia to expand bilateral relations with Britain in order to be better prepared for Estonia's Presidency of the EU Council in the second half of 2017, a major Estonian legislator expressed on Wednesday.

Marko Mihkelson, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Estonian Parliament Riigikogu, is on a four-day working visit in London to discuss a wide range of issues, including the process of Britain leaving the European Union.

Mihkelson said in a press release that he is expected to meet with directors from several departments and organizations in London, including the British Department for Exiting the European Union. Enditem
