British FTSE 100 rises 0.49 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.49 percent, or 35.06 points, to 7,177.89 points.

Share price of Hargreaves Lansdown increased by 4.86 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Barclays, Standard Chartered, Fresnillo and Lloyds Banking Group increased by 4.30 percent, 3.99 percent, 3.69 percent and 2.93 percent, respectively.

Dixons Carphone led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.84 percent, following by Next (3.52 percent), Intu Properties (2.60 percent), CRH (2.44 percent) and RSA Insurance Group (1.71 percent). Endit
