Nepalese home minister calls for effective border security

Nepalese Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi, who is in-charge of home affairs, on Monday directed the security officials to maintain effective border security keeping morale high in their duties.

The minister made such remarks while inaugurating the newly constructed office building of the Nepalese Armed Police Force (APF) in Dhunche, the district headquarters of Rasuwa District.

"I urge our all security personnel to give priority in order to maintain effective border security in view of curbing cross-border crimes and keep morale high in discharging duties," the minister said.

The minister also lauded the APF's role in maintaining the border security, guarding the customs offices and carrying out various rescue and relief-ralated works despite the crunch of human resources. Endit
