1st LD: At least 2 killed in night club shooting in Istanbul

At least two people were killed early Sunday morning in gunfire at a popular night club in Istanbul, witnesses said.

Abdullah Agar, a security analyst, told Xinhua that one police officer and a civilian died during the shootout at the night club Reina in the district of Besiktas.

The attackers were dressed as father Christmas and speaking in Arabic, Agar said, adding 40 to 60 people were injured.

Another eyewitness said he saw four bodies lying on the ground. Witnesses also reported about an explosion. Endit
