Xinhua, January 1, 2017 Adjust font size:

An automobile ran seemingly without control over pedestrians in Helsinki on Saturday.

Three people and the driver were taken to hospital. The automobile damaged seven parked cars.

The accident took place at Siilitie metro station entrance in eastern Helsinki.

Police told national broadcaster Yle that the event was not intentional and the driver, a 30-year-old man, apparently experienced a health hazard.

The incident got major media attention initially in the afternoon as it resembled intentional violence with automobile as a weapon. The police kept the Siilitie station area cordoned off for some time. Endit
