Train and passenger bus collision kills 5 in Tunisia

Xinhua, December 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

A train and a passenger bus collided Wednesday in Jebel Jloud, south of the capital Tunis, leaving five people killed and at least 52 wounded, said the Tunisian Ministry of Health.

The wounded were immediately transferred to five hospitals in Tunis.

An investigation is underway to find out the real reasons of the accident, as the driver of the train has 18 years of driving experience and has no antecedent throughout his career.

Some witnesses said the bus was in excess speed before the collision happened.

The bus belonged to a regional transport company of the town of Nabeul, south of Tunis. Endit
