Ghana's Producer inflation hits 11. 9 pct in November

Prices went up at the factory gate for some manufactured products in Ghana to send the Producer Price Index (PPI) up by 2.2 percentage points to 11.9 percent in November, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) announced here on Wednesday.

The figure marked an increased compared to the revised 9.7 percent increase recorded during the previous month.

Month-on-month, the PPI rose 1.2 percent in November, GSS data showed.

Increase in the inflation rate is as a result of the increase in the inflation rate for the manufacturing and Mining and Quarrying subsectors, said Baah Wadieh, the Acting Government Statistician. Endit
