Burkina Faso, Togo conduct joint operation to strengthen border security

Burkina Faso and Togo have conducted a joint operation to secure their borders, arresting scores of people and seizing firearms and motorbikes, authorities said Monday.

On the Burkina Faso side, law enforcement officers arrested 49 people, seized 148 motorbikes and nine guns during the joint operation, according to the country's Interior Ministry.

The Togolese side arrested 62 people, seized 75 motorbikes, among other things, the Burkina Faso ministry said. Endi
