A man, his wife and their child were Sunday night killed by people armed with machetes at Muyange in Bubanza province, 30km west of the Burundian capital Bujumbura, the police said on Monday.
"A man, his wife and their child were intercepted at Muyange around 20:00 (18:00 GMT) as they were walking to their home. The criminals had machetes that they used to kill the victims," said Burundian Police Deputy-Spokesman Moise Nkurunziza. (Burundi-Killing)

MOSCOW -- The flight recorders of the Russian military Tu-154 aircraft that crashed into the Black Sea on Sunday could remain intact, a senior official was quoted as saying on Monday.

SHIBIRGHAN, Afghanistan -- Three Afghan civilians were shot dead in northern Jawzjan province Sunday night, a local official said on Monday.
"Security forces repelled a militants' attack on outskirts of provincial capital Shibirghan on Sunday. The clashes left five attackers killed and several injured. RABAT -- Nine people were killed and 45 others injured, including 15 in critical conditions, in a road accident that occurred in northern Morocco on Sunday.
