CBA roundup: Shanghai back to winning track, Guangdong seals 15th straight victory

Shanghai bounced back from last week's shock defeat to Aolong and beat Zhejiang 137-98 in the 20th round of CBA action on Wednesday, while Guangdong overwhelmed Shanxi 124-93.

It took Shanghai only three quarters to secure their 17th victory of the season. Four Shanghai players scored double-digit points. Jimmer Fredette finished with a team-high 31 points, six rebounds and five assists. Guerschon Yabusele added 30 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Willie Warren led Zhejiang with match-high 34, and Lorenzo Brown had 26.

Yi Jianlian had 31 points and 12 rebounds as Guangdong claimed their 15th straight victory of the season. Guangdong jumped to 32-19 ahead in the first quarter and never looked dangerous from then on.

Donald Sloan and Carlos Boozer combined for 36 points. Boozer grabbed 15 rebounds. Guangdong now stay in second place in the standings, one win shy of leaders Shanghai.

In Wednesday's other three matches, Aolong beat defending champion Sichuan 104-98, Qingdao lost to Tianjin 110-72, Jiangsu beat Jilin 122-117 in overtime. Endit
