The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Wednesday.

-- Ethiopia is committed to ensure benefit of people living at border areas and to grow together with neighboring countries, said Kassa Tekleberhan, Ethiopian Minister of Federal and Pastoral Development Affairs.

-- Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome held talks Tuesday with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassin Al-Thani on ways of enhancing the bilateral relations of the two countries.

The president, who described at length the potential investment opportunities in Ethiopia, noted that the various investment incentives given by the government are attractive. He stated that Qatari businesspersons will benefit a lot if they invest in Ethiopia. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

-- Ethiopian Federal and Pastoralist Development Affairs Minister Kassa Teklebirhan said Ethiopia is interested to cooperate with neighboring countries on development and other issues.
