Singapore stocks close 0.33 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 9.61 points, or 0.33 percent, to close at 2,901.70.

A total of 1.37 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 789.4 million Singapore dollars (546.45 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 219 to 168, while 704 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 1.77 points, or 0.06 percent, to close at 2,911.31 Tuesday. Enditem
