Xinhua, December 20, 2016 Adjust font size:

Czech domestic rail and bus operator Leo Express singed a contract here on Monday to buy three Electric Mutiple Units(EMUs) from Chinese train manufacturer CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd (CRRC ZELC).

The total value of the transaction exceeds 20 million euros(20.80 million U.S. dollars).

According to Liao Hongtao, deputy general manager of CRRC ZELC, the contract includes three EMUs, spare parts, testing equipment and training service.

This is the first EMU products of a Chinese enterprise to entering the European Union market, said Liao.

The successful signing of this agreement means the products made by Chinese train manufacturers are widely recognized, according to Liao.

Liao said CRRC ZELC will provide all the electric locomotives that Leo Express needs in the next few years, and Leo Express could buy 30 EMUs in three years. Endit
