Malawi President Peter Mutharika has fired his Information, Communication and Technology Minister Malison Ndau, replacing him with intelligence chief Nicholas Dausi.

A statement signed by Mutharika's Press Secretary on Monday said the president also redeployed the Chief Secretary to Government, George Mkondiwa, to head a foreign mission in India, and back home he has been replaced by his deputy Lloyd Muhara as Chief Secretary.

According to the statement, the new appointments are with immediate effect.

Dausi was the fifth to head the information ministry since Mutharika rose to power in May 2014. Endit
