A 12-year-old person attempted twice to launch terrorist attacks in the western German city of Ludwigshafen this and last month, a local prosecutor confirmed on Friday.
The person tried to target a local Christmas market on Nov. 26 and the areas near the city hall on Dec. 5 with explosives, but failed both times to ignite them.
The backpack with explosives was noticed by passengers near the city hall and reported to the police, prompting the next investigation.

UNITED NATIONS -- In an operation that started on Thursday and continued into Friday morning, thousands of people were evacuated from Aleppo, including 194 patients who were evacuated with assistance from the Syria Arab Red Crescent, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the United Nations, a UN spokesman told reporters here on Friday.
"They were brought to hospitals in Idlib, western rural Aleppo and to Turkey, with the support of humanitarian health partners in Gaziantep," UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. (UN-Aleppo Evacuation)

SAN FRANCISCO -- A car plowed into a Chinatown bus stop in San Francisco in west coast city of the United States Friday afternoon, injuring 10 people.
San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) posted a series of messages on its Twitter social media account showing the scene at Sacramento and Stockton streets.
Of those injured in the incident, seven were reportedly taken to the hospital, five were listed in serious conditions at San Francisco General Hospital. (US-Road Accident)

WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Barack Obama said Friday no other bilateral relationship carries more significance than U.S.-China relationship, and if the U.S.-China relation breaks down, everyone becomes worse off.
