Xinhua, December 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

One migrant was killed and scores were injured in a fire which broke out overnight at a centre for migrant workers in Boulogne-Billancourt, west Paris, local media reported on Friday.

A 40-year-old Malian man died after he jumped out of the building's third floor windows to escape the fire, news channel BFMTV reported.

The fire which broke out at 0242 GMT, wounded 14 people with three in critical conditions, it added.

An inquiry is underway to determine the cause of the fire which investigators said criminal origin is suspected, according to the report.

On his tweeter account, French Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve expressed "solidarity with the fire's victims," and pledged "all the light will be shed" on the incident to identify the perpetrators. Enditem
