Brazilian oil giant reports 2.86 mln bpd in oil production in Nov.

Xinhua, December 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

Brazil's state-controlled oil giant Petrobras announced Thursday that its oil and gas production reached 2.86 million barrels per day (bpd) in November, of which 2.74 million were produced in Brazil and 0.12 million abroad.

In its latest statement, Petrobras said thanks to better operational performance of some platforms, average oil production in the country was 2.23 million bpd, a 2-percent growth compared to October and a rise of 7.7 percent over the same month in 2015.

Furthermore, production in Brazil's pre-salt zone in Atlantic deepwater surpassed 1 billion barrels mark in November, six years after commercial production began there.

Petrobras' natural gas production, without including liquid volume, was 80.5 million cubic meters in November, 3.8 percent higher than that in October, as a number of platforms resumed production after undergoing maintenance. Endi
