Vietnamese PM makes phone conversation with U.S. President-elect

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has made a phone conversation with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.

During the conversation, Phuc extended his congratulations to Trump for being elected the 45th President of the United States, reported Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA on Thursday.

"Vietnam attaches great importance to the friendship and cooperation with the United States," said Phuc.

Trump, for his part, highlighted achievements that Vietnam has gained over the past time, positive development in the bilateral relations and affirmed his wish to work with Vietnam to boost ties, reported VNA.

The two leaders exchanged views on orientation and measures to boost economic, trade, investment ties between Vietnam and the United States in the coming time. Endit
