Myanmar's parliament to conduct Chinese language training

Xinhua, December 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

Myanmar's parliament will conduct the first ever Chinese language training for MPs of both houses with the help of the Chinese embassy in Myanmar and the consulate-general in Mandalay, said a lawmaker on Wednesday.

Not only parliament representatives but also office staffs of the parliament will be organized to learn Chinese under a special program free of charge, U Kyaw Than Tun, an MP of the House of Nationalities (the Upper House), told Xinhua.

The Chinese language training class will be conducted by the China-Myanmar Friendship Association starting next month with the approval of both Houses.

About 60 parliament representatives have registered to join the class, said U Kyi Myint, director general of the office of the House of Nationalities. Endit
