The Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei has celebrated the 15th anniversary of the company's arrival in Spain with a Gala celebration in Madrid.

The event was held on Monday night in the spectacular "Crystal Gallery" in the Cibeles Palace.

Chinese and Spanish dignitaries gathered together to look back on 15 years which have taken Huawei to the forefront of the Spanish telecommunications sector. (Spain-Huawei)

LONDON -- Chinese martial art Tai Chi has helped hundreds of older people in Britain's capital to stay fitter, a report by London Mayor Sadiq Khan revealed Tuesday.

A pilot scheme has seen the lives of hundreds of older Londoners transformed by getting active, the City Hall report found.

UNITED NATIONS -- A Chinese envoy on Tuesday told the UN Security Council that it was high time for the international community to seek a political settlement to the Syrian crisis since current situation there is complex and sensitive.

VIENNA -- Certification of the first monitoring station of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) in China is a milestone, a small step forward made by China and a big step for the international community, chief of the CTBTO told Xinhua in a recent interview.
