Up to 21 Taliban militants have been confirmed dead as aircrafts targeted their hideouts in the northern Balkh province on Wednesday, said a statement of Interior Ministry released here.

The operations, according to the statement were conducted against Taliban hideouts in parts of Chamtal district, during which several weapon caches of the group had also been destroyed.

Without giving more details, the statement added that the security forces would continue to chase and target terrorists elsewhere in the country. Enditem
