Paris CAC 40 index rises 0.91 percent Tuesday

After a drop of less than 0.1 percent, the CAC 40, France's benchmark stock market gauge picked up 0.91 percent on Tuesday closing at 4,803.87 points.

Investors are now waiting for the verdict on U.S. interest rates, while the Federal Reserve holds its last monetary meeting of the year on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Airbus gained 3.9 percent, Orange also gained 1.9 percent, Societe Generale rose 1.1 percent and BNP Paribas increased 0.9 percent.

Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal fell 3.3 percent, Michelin lost 1.2 percent, and Bouygues fell 0.5 percent. Endit
