British FTSE 100 rises 1.13 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 1.13 percent, or 78.15 points, to 6,968.57 points.

Share price of Rolls-Royce Holdings increased by 4.15 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. ITV, BT Group, International Consolidated Airlines Group and Dixons Carphone increased by 3.73 percent, 3.68 percent, 3.24 percent and 2.83 percent, respectively.

Antofagasta led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.65 percent, following by Tesco (3.76 percent), BHP Billiton (2.78 percent), Anglo American (2.60 percent) and Rio Tinto (2.28 percent). Endit
