Malta sees jump in employment rate

Official figures published by Eurostat on Tuesday indicate Malta's employment growth year on year in the third quarter of 2016 was 3.8 percent.

In the euro area, employment growth was 1.2 percent for the same period.

Compared with the previous quarter, in the third quarter of 2016, Malta's employment rate increased by 0.5 percent.

Eurostat estimates that in the third quarter of 2016, around of 153.4 million men and women were employed in the euro area. Enditem
