Morocco to buy 1,200 anti-tank missiles from U.S.

Morocco will buy 1,200 TOW 2A anti-tank missiles from the United States, local media reported on Monday.

The deal, which was approved by the U.S. State Department, will cost Morocco 107 million U.S. dollars, said Hespress news site.

The deal also covers all related engineering, technical and logistic services, Hespress quoted a statement from the U.S. Defence Security Cooperation Agency as saying.

Morocco, along with Algeria, is considered one of the top buyers of arms in Africa. Endit
