China specifies major economic tasks for 2017

Xinhua, December 9, 2016 Adjust font size:

The Communist Party of China (CPC) on Friday specified major tasks for the government's economic work in 2017, including to further advance the supply-side structural reform.

The country should push forward reforms on key sectors, including the state-owned enterprises, fiscal and taxation, financial and social security, according to a statement released after a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

China will enhance the rule of law, improve its investment environment, unleash the consumption potential, further open up its economy, and work proactively to attract foreign investment, the statement said. Endi
