China-made ultra-quick-charge bus operational in Austria

Xinhua, December 8, 2016 Adjust font size:

A China-made turbo-charge trolley bus, with a battery that takes just 30 seconds to be fully charged, has begun trials in Austria.

The 18-meter bus, is being tested on a 3,500-meter test route in south Austria's Graz City on Tuesday (local time).

The bus is capable of carrying 135 passengers and can recharge while it stops for passengers to board and alight, meaning it is able to run 24 hours a day.

CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co. made the trolley bus. In the past it has installed a super-capacitor onto metro trains and created a super-capacitor light rail train.

Two of the trolley buses, which have a 12-year life cycle, have been exported to Graz and will be put into use officially in January next year. Endi
