Singapore stocks close flat

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 0.98 points, or 0.03 percent, to close at 2,958.86.

A total of 1.84 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.39 billion Singapore dollars (982.14 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 240 to 216, while 644 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 10.72 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 2,959.84 on Wednesday. Endit
