Azerbaijani President meets Russian Minister on enhancing relations

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday received Russian minister of internal affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev here in Baku.

The meeting focused on successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in all spheres, cooperation between law enforcement agencies, according to the president office.

The two sides stressed the need to expand cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of Azerbaijan and Russia and expressed confidence in further strengthening ties.

Vladimir Kolokoltsev expressed his gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for his attention to the cooperation between the bodies of internal affairs of the two countries.

Touching upon the First Baku Summit of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran, the minister said that the declaration signed by the Heads of three countries, has created additional incentives for the development of relations during the discussion of issues of mutually beneficial cooperation and joint activities.

President Ilham Aliyev, in turn, said that the format of the summit has already been formed and is aimed at strengthening security measures in the region. Endit
