Bulgarian GDP grows by 3.4 pct in Q3

Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 3.4 percent year on year in the third quarter of 2016, official data showed on Tuesday.

The GDP at current prices was 14.465 billion U.S. dollars, or about 2,000 dollars per person, according to preliminary data released by the country's National Statistical Institute (NSI).

Exports and imports of goods and services increased by 9.5 percent and 7.5 percent respectively compared with the same period of last year, the NSI figures showed.

According to the NSI, Bulgaria's GDP grew by 3.0 percent year-on-year in 2015, 1.6 percent in 2014, 1.3 percent in 2013, and 0.2 percent in 2012. Endit
