BiH sends rotating infantry unit to Afghanistan

Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) held a ceremony on Monday for an infantry unit to be deployed to Afghansitan for peace-keeping mission.

Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanic attended the ceremony at the Kozara barracks in Banja Luka, capital city of Republika Srpska, an entity of BiH.

Ivanic stressed that BiH soldiers are helping other countries in the stabilization of the security situation.

Anto Jelec, Chief of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH, pointed out that the experience gained in these missions has been of immeasurable importance for the Armed Forces of BiH.

The rotating unit has 45 members, including three women members. Endit
