Nepalese president congratulates new Thai king

Nepalese President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Friday congratulated Maha Vajiralongkorn on his enthronement as king of Thailand.

In a message, Bhandari expressed her confidence that the Kingdom of Thailand will achieve further progress and prosperity under His Majesty's visionary stewardship.

Nepal and Thailand enjoy strong and multifaceted relationship based on trust, mutual understanding and cooperation, she said, believing the relations between the two countries will grow from strength to strength during His Majesty's reign.

Vajiralongkorn, 64, was proclaimed on Thursday King Rama X, or the 10th king of the Chakri dynasty founded in 1782. Endit
