Direct flight opens between Beijing, Las Vegas

Xinhua, December 2, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's Hainan Airlines on Friday began a non-stop service between Beijing and Las Vegas, the United States, the first direct flight between the Chinese mainland and the western U.S. city.

The route will be flown by a Boeing 787-8 three times per week, with flights from Beijing to Las Vegas on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The new route is expected to boost in-depth exchange between China and the United States, said Hou Wei, vice president of the airline.

Hainan Airlines is China's fourth largest airline in terms of fleet size. With the opening of the new route, the company is now conducting 10 flight routes between China and North America. Endi
