Ibisevic signs contract extension with Hertha Berlin

Xinhua, November 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

Vedad Ibisevic has extended his expiring contract for another two years, the "Hauptstadtclub" confirmed in an official statement on Tuesday.

The striker penned a two-year contract extension, as his current contract was due to expire in the summer 2017, to stay with Hertha Berlin until June 2019.

"Vedad gives us a lot of pleasure," Berlin's sporting director Michael Preetz said. "We came together and found a common solution. I am pleased to announce that Vedad will stay with Hertha until 2019."

The 32-year-old striker joined on August 2015 from Stuttgart to provide 18 goals in 38 competitive games. The skipper of Bosnia and Herzegovina's national team scored overall 100 goals in 240 Bundesliga encounters.

Hertha Berlin sit currently on the 3rd place of the Bundesliga standings. They clash with Wolfsburg at the 13th round on Saturday. Endit
