Xinhua, November 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

It has been nearly two weeks since a truck tanker exploded in central Tete province and caused casualties. The death toll is still increasing and has risen to 99, authorities announced on Tuesday.

"We sadly had 3 deaths in the last 24 hours at this moment, with 44 patients hospitalized and 7 of them are still in a critical condition, the other patients are in a better clinic condition and they will eventually recover," said Veronica de Deus from the Tete provincial hospital.

A patient who is in a much stable condition told the media that all patients are receiving good treatment from the medical team.

On the other hand, the inquiry commission created by the Council of Minister to investigate the causes of the explosion is still in the scene. The Council of Minister said accountability will be charged if there are criminal faults in the explosion. Endit
