Cambodia attracts 720 mln USD investment from China in 10 months

Xinhua, November 29, 2016 Adjust font size:

Cambodia had received the fixed asset investment of 720 million U.S. dollars from China in the first 10 months of 2016, according to a government report on Tuesday.

From January to Octorber this year, the Southeast Asian country had granted licenses to 65 Chinese investment projects in the fields of agriculture, agro-industry, manufacturing industry, tourism, energy, construction and real estate, said the report from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

It added that China remains the largest foreign investor in Cambodia with the accumulative investment of over 14 billion U.S. dollars from 1994 to Oct. 2016.

Officials attributed the growth of Chinese investment here to the excellent relationship between the two countries in combination with Cambodia's secure and conducive environment for foreign investors. Endit
